Thats cause you are a real Hot Rodder!!! Howdy from Austin...

  4. I have a 1958 Ford Ranchero that has been my daily driver for 13 years...Has had it's day on side of the road, but for 4 years I traveled 2 and half hours to work. I have been on many 7 hour trips up north with no trouble....You either drive old cars or you just look at them...I enjoy all the***** that comes with the love of my rod...

I drive a 67 mustang daily, it's a little cramped, gets horrible gas milage, but mustangs are easy to drive otherwise. This one has no heater, and is fond of eating parts lately. I'm ready to move on, to a early 60's T-bird, or Riv, or even a 54 chevy or 49-51 ford.

My '55 Ply was my driver, but I had to park it for the month of January because of the restrictions on WI collector plates. As soon as it's february, it'll be out again...

This was my daily driver in the summer for quite a few years. I've been within walking distance of work for the last 4 years so it doesn't get out as often these days. It's got 76,000 K since I threw it together. [IMG]

  18. my 63 is the only vehicle i own that runs right now. It gets driven ever day in the sun rain and snow. Warm days in the winter*****s cause i have no wipers or fenderwells so the windsheild gets pretty dirty [IMG]

my wagon is not my full time daily driver, but it does get about 9k to 10k put on the odometer each year. In fact I have to take a business trip to Orlando next week and I think I will take the wagon over my '04 pu.

  20. Don't take the piss but I have to drive the wifes Pink truck every day cause she likes the comferts of a modern car and wont use it.

I drive a 64 Falcon (gold with copper metalflake roof, flames amd scallops) every day in the winter, and a 65 Mercury Cyclone in the summer. As soon as the 57 Ford Ranch Wagon I'm building is done, I'm peddling them both. Half the fun is getting there. I'll always look foreward to getting behind the wheel of some old car when I get up in the morning. That and coffee is what motivates me. You guys have some nice drivers. Glad to see I'm not the only one!

I envy all you guys, because I have to park in a outside parking lot at work and deal with the "homeless" (bums, derelicts, and drug addicts shooting up), stealing or damaging anything, tied down or not, and every other form of low life that hang out in downtown Portland. Good liberals all, I think the local government actually incourages them. Not to mention dodging all the bicycle NAZIs and militant pedestians (none of which feel that traffic rules, laws, or even common courtesy apply to them) or the braindead local motorists (most in japojunk cowdung lumps equipped with bling bling taillights, stock or otherwise).
When I'm not driving my pickup (a lot lately with the cost of fuel and all), my everyday driver is a 76 Feather Duster with a slant six/4 speed OD. Yeah, I know, too new for this forum. However, later this spring when the days are longer and I can make sure I'm working daylight hours only, I'll use my 64 Fairlane hardtop. And I hope to someday in the not too terribly distant future to get a pre WWII rod built for use as a daily driver.
