    Hi everyone,

There is a broken bolt holding the harmonic balancer and single V groove pulley on my uncles 48 straight 8.

Does anyone have a page of the assembly manual showing the parts there? obviously balancer and pulley.

Going to try to remove the pulley and balancer assembly with a puller hoping there is a nub left of the bolt I can grab onto.

    Any help appreciated.

    Cheers,
    Bob

    Motor's Manual, twelfth edition - 1949
    "Vibration damper, 1935-1949
The unit is removed from the crankshaft by a special puller. The starting crank nut which holds the balancer in place at the end of the crankshaft is recessed and can be turned off by inserting a 3/4" hexagonal bar, except on the 39-48 models. On these models, remove the damper retaining screw with a suitable socket wrench."
The only picture is a "long section" of the 8-cyl engine. I'll scan it later and see if I can enlarge the area of interest. It might help.
