Hot Rods Ford cowl id help

    Can anyone tell me the year and what model this is from??? thinkin 26 27 model t or truck but can't find a cowl pic with any info on this type

    1926-27 T and that is a commercial firewall, the gas tank would be under the seat and not in the cowl like the p***enger bodied cars. Bob

    No, this would be from the standard TT Truck cab, they were different than the 23-25 style. I'll find a photo and post it. Bob

    This is a 1923-25 TT cab, tough to find one with a 1926-27 style cowl photo. Bob

    Not sure that is a ford cowl, firewall doesn't look right. 26-27 firewall had a rounded style.[​IMG]

    This is a commercial firewall that Ford used on the TT cabs. Note the vent is just a vent because the gas tank was under the seat, not in the cowl like a p***enger car body. Bob [​IMG]

    '26-'27 had cowl mounted tanks, the filler was under the cowl flap.

    Sorry I just removed a original gas tank that is cowl mounted in my 27 roadster. Go figure !

    They were under the cowl in 1926 as well, under the seat on the Fordors. ;)Bob
