Does anyone know if it's the garnish molding that holds the quarter gl*** in place???
    Thanks

On the utility style tri 5's you have a couple or three clips that use a screw to hold the clip tight to the window rubber. Then the garnish does the rest.

thanks - this car was in pieces when I bought it. I'm now trying to get it back together. Can you tell me what the clips look like? I don't know what I'm looking for. I have a box of stuff that came with the car, if I know a little bit about what they look like, I might already have them. Otherwise do you know where I can get replacements? Thanks!!

On the coupes with fixed windows the garnish molding sits on a small lip on the body and the molding is all that holds the gl*** in.

Thank you very much. Trying to put back together the "basket" car I bought. This will help.

This is sort-of correct, but it's the rubber that holds the gl*** in the car. The interior garnish molding just sort of locks it in place so it can't be pushed into the car from outside the car. Very much like the rear window. You can't install your gl*** without that rubber.
I just pulled the fixed rear quarter windows out of a '52 business coupe in a junkyard a year or two ago. Just removed the garnish molding (which was the part I wanted), then worked the rubber all around while pushing inward in order to remove the gl***.

No problem. I still have the gl*** with the rubber on it. It's old but flexible enough to install if you're careful.
If you'd like it send me an email.

Dave, the car is suppose to come home from the paint shop Monday. Then ***embly begins. I've got the gl*** & rubber as long as I don't screw it up! I will keep your message handy and let you know if I get into trouble with what I've got.
    Thanks again. Darryl
