OK fellas, I currently have fenderwell headers on the coupe, I'm contemplating changing them out and would like some opinions/fact on the "ram's horn" manifolds, do they flow well? has anyone used the speedway version yet? engine is 283 SBC/tri power rottenchester/double hump/Summit copy of Duntov 292 camshaft/Mallory Mini Mag for fire. What do you guys think about the ram's horns? Thanks fellas Skip
if you are worried about how they flow look into the ones circle track guys sell with the 2.5" outlet.
I'm by no means an expert. I've heard that of all of the stock manifolds the "rams horns" flow the best. Apparently they're pretty good flowing in general. I don't know, just what I've heard. I'm gonna run 'em. Woody
Skip, I'm personal friends with the product manager at Speedway, and those new Ram Horn exhaust manifolds flow better than block hugger headers. They dyno tested them against all of the block huggers, and they out Horsepowered all of them really bad. I think you will be really happy with them, they are REALLY nice as I have seen them in person.
Skip..I used ram horns(stock) on my 34 and I was very pleased....I saw the Speedway horns on display at GG in Columbus....and I was impressed with there looks, design and casting. They prolly work alot better than the stockers I had. I personally have not known anyone around here with a set,so I cannot comment on that area. goodluck.
Thanks for the info guys. I'm just thinking outloud right now, but the vision I have of the coupe doesn't include the current F/W headers and I HATE block huggers, ram's horns seem like they'd flow good, look good, and fit inside the framerails. Now I wonder if anyone has a set to trade? Off to the classifieds.... Skip
