Technical Aftermark Carb Recomendation

Hey guys, anyone have any recommendations for an aftermarket replacement carb for a 1948 carter WCD # 653S? The original one on my uncles Pontiac streamliner silver streak with L8 needs a complete rebuild but due to time restraints would rather put on a replacement, and save the original and rebuild at a later date.

Car has an automatic trans with stock L8

To the best of my knowledge there is no direct bolt on after market carb for that application.
