  1. Glad to hear a fellow car guy is doing well. Grain Brain is another great book. Organics over GMOs. Wish more knew about it. I could go on, but this isn't the forum.

Posting pics is easier than ever Steve. In fact, you no longer need to upload them to a host site and link to the HAMB . . . now you can pull straight from the files on your computer.

Cool that you are fit as a fiddle! Just poke around the new format, you'll learn it faster than you think, really no different, just different buttons and icons. Once you get it, it will feel just fine.

Hey no probs, some progress is better than no progress. My '56 F-100 was a back yard ornament for about 12 years before I finally got in the position to get serious. Thats the cool thing about old metal; it'll still be there if a guy needs to take a break.

Unless that metal is poorly protected, and the "someday" never comes.

Lets give the old "drag and drop" a try. Hey, it works! Way easier now!

Man I really enjoy watching your build, you are one of a kind for sure. I hope all is well with you. I just aquired a '46 long door coupe so it is good to see what others have done as far as chops and other modifications

Thanks for looking around! I wish I could show more progress... Hopefully this winter I will get some tedious stuff done that doesn't require too much $ ...gets hard to stay motivated some times though.

Hey Steve. Great to see you back at it.
Time, money AND motivation at the same time? The big three. That's a tall order, man. ;)

One thing I got done this summer was take the 36 body, on the 40's frame on the s10 frame and got it on to the tough old 39 frame I got. I tacked a rear end in , did some bracing and a few repairs , made a quicky front axle .... Then I pulled , and twisted and beat the doors into the openings and got them tacked in , and a couple of pieces of bracing . It still needs more tweaking and bracing before I can start a substructure to make it strong enough to rebuild.....,by far the worst piece of junk I've ever contemplated.... I must have a brain defect or something! Hi Joe! I've been meaning to shoot you an email for a while.., to be honest I haven't been in much of a car mood, had to sell the truck, overdrive went couldn't afford to fix it had to sell it for peanuts after doing a bunch of work to it so I could come get Fred's Pontiac... And I I was hoping that frame , but unfortunately absolutely nothing has been working out for me when it comes to vehicles in the last year be it a project , or some shitbox I'm trying to keep on the road....

  29. Steve - the phone pics are fine! It's good to have you picking away at the coupe once more. Slow and steady (if fast can't happen )!

The weight of all the junk I got crammed in this gem, combined with the rotten frame and broken springs had the rear tires touching the top of the tubs.... A few pieces of scrap welded in got back to where I could move it around.i want to get either this or the 51 Merc tacked onto its replacement chassis next summer... ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1419127769.842364.jpg ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1419127788.624467.jpg

I set my crusty Olds grille in ... Less of an eyesore...
