I bought some stainless shackles from them. They called me and told me that they mistakenly sent me some polished plain steel ones. They sent me the stainless right away.
They realized a problem and fixed with out me having to do any thing. I'd say that is good customer service.

We are building a 28 highboy with a TCI chassis. Nice workmanship, solid, very impressed. Oh yeah, we got it secondhand from a guy who bought it new in 1980 and never used it.

I bought just a basic Model A frame with the original style rear crossmember and only the motor mounts and steering mount installed I then hung my traditional suspension with split wishbones, etc back in 1984. Been on the road since 1987 and have been happy with it.

T.C.I. (totals causing indigestion) I have a chassis under my model A pick them up and has been running a grouling 20.000 miles with no problem has been on the road 7 years and to Paso 3 times and the Hot Rod Reunion twice, I thank them.

  11. I work at a shop, we are a dealer for TCI. We sell a ton of your stuff because it's top notch. Fairly regularly we have difficulties with getting parts in a timely manner, and with communication regarding any delays. The ball gets dropped alot. My impression from the outside is that there are internal communication issues.

  12. A couple of guys in my club used their stuff. They like them. As for me, the name SCARES me.

I agree. Nice stuff, but you would sell alot more of it if you guys changed the name to Cheap Cool Stuff ..or "Bloodless installation" or Parts Actually Fit and
    Dont Wreck Your Bank Account.

    or my favorite--No Grinding Involved!:D

That's a good question. Why is it called "total cost involved"? Doen't seem like the greatest name.

    Love TCI.

you guys should make it more known that anybody can buy any little piece you make.

  16. I would hazzard a guess: because my friend bought an 85 point restored '31 Ford coupe and set it on a TCI frame, the largest part of the "Total Cost Invovles" was the chassis. But as someone pointed out, he didn't habe to do any grinding to make it fit. And he drives the shit out of it, has had to make some radical emergency manouvers to avoid accidents with out control problems, and it hasn't rode so bad as to screw up the pretty 85 point body and fenders. If I were in a position to afford one I'd use one.

  17. I've got TCI parts (hairpins, shocks, panhard bar) on the front end of my roadster. Good parts and good service, no complaints here...

Someone else owns the "TCI" deal. I'm a dealer and can say their the best! They do the best they can No lies or BS, they were late with some coilovers last week, said the chrome was shitty, then sent good ones a few days later. Could have sent the shitty ones but didn"t. Very happy with them!!!!.......OLDBEET

Ask your boss Ed Moss? He started that company in like 74 in Norwalk on Pioneer Bl. Made only A frames the time bought cut down rear ends from our parent company Cook's Machine Works. I personally bought my 1st pair of boxing plates from them in 87 for my 1st 34 Ford Coupes Chassis. You guys used to throw a real bitchen party the friday night of the L.A. Roadster Show- "Best Damn Chicken in town" thanks to Burrito!Along came So-Cal and away went the "too cool friday night party"=Boo-hoo!I attended every one I could. Have Sal give you some company info on historyhe's been there 4ever!

The 32 frame is ugly.I can spot one from across the road. But I'm kinda weird when it comes th 32 Fords.

  23. I helped a friend build a pro street A with a TCI pro street chassis. Fuckin thing bent the first time my buddy got on the car hard. Total piece of shit. They wouldn't stand behind it. We had to pull it on the frame rack and build trusses for the lower 4 bar mount. Never could get the buckles out of the X member. I'll never buy anything from them.

when i got my chassis it already had a tci front end on it, however the guy whom i bought it from could not get the front springs to fit - he called TCI and the guy told him it needed to be driven as a fully loaded car to get the springs to settle and that they would settle after about 200 miles. i called them as well and got exactly the same answer - however as you can see from the picture there was no way i could have driven it 200 feet never mind 200 miles but even after seeing the pics TCI still said it needed to be driven - assholes. ended up having to cut a coil and a half from the spring to get them to fit.

also bought a tci leaf spring kit for the rear - man these must have been designed in the 70's because they raised the car 6/8 inches again see the pics, spoke to the dealer i bought it from and TCI again - just got told thats how they sit..

they need to think about their tech support and think about redesigning some of their products.

i was really pissed when i phoned about both the issues I had - got the impression they thought we've got your money now so I could go suck it and see..

One thing that needs to be addressed is on the 48-52 Ford F-1 IFS kits, is that they should come with Fairmont ends insted of Mustang ends. The Mustang ends are a bit short and you only get like 3 or 4 threads as compaired to the Fairmont ends were you can turn them in at least half way or better up the threads on the rack. I always end up replacing the short ends with longer ends to feal safer.

You have got to be kidding! I first ordered a MII front suspension with air bags and a rear 4 link with airbags and ford 9" housing on Jan 1,2010. I have a 49 chevy pu but it is a 3/4t. I discussed at length the rear dimensions with the sales staff and they assured me they were the company to help me. Salesman even called me " my friend". I even sent dimensions and pics. It took nearly 45 days to get shipment after numerous calls. But they processed my card. Here we are 15 months later, at least 30 documented unreturned calls, not counting the calls I actually got to talk to someone, I was passed to 3 different contacts each assigned to help me, 3 screwed up shipments, 3 rear housings with brackets mounted incorrectly even after several e-mails including dimensions and many pics. This became such a joke and nightmare I wound up with the owners personal phone number. I finally received a housing with the brackets shipped loose and I mounted them at a weld shop at my expense. I needed a longer panard bar and that took 6 calls and 46 days. I also received a second set of Currie axles with a cracked collar and metal filings in the bearing. They have very poor directions, very poor customer service, very poor tech support. Save your money buy some where else. And I'm sure if TCI reads this they will know who I am.

You're kidding, right? I smell very dead fish. Have you looked at this thread running right now??

Google TCI and the first four sites that pop-up-all TCI are labeled with a warning by Google that they will ham your computer if opened. The OP seems to be making a very thinly veiled attempt at deflecting the real discussion. Let's have a real answer, Alexsteelers

Plus, you list your car as a Nissan?

Just curious why you think a discount would make it better if you didn't get your parts,or the parts you got were clearly wrong and then no-one at the manufacturer would give you the time of day to make things right?
