I found this very old thread, and I am still wondering what has been the wildest rod built on the hamb to date. I will again theow in one of mine, my 34 ford 3w coupe with an opening canopy.
Saw the video, and thought "Cool car!". Clicked on YouTube, and saw it was labelled as a jet fighter. Thought to myself "yah... we all think our cars are jet fighters". Started the vid, and the canopy rolls back. Dammit... he was serious! I don't know enough about early Fords to appreciate the other changes, but it is very, very cool. Made me grin. Cheers, Harv
Jim, your builds are always an inspiration. ,Mark's Futurian, and Willys 36's Mysterion come to mind.
My favorite was Langy's Willys coupe build. Mainly because he made so many of the various parts used in his build. He was a true craftsman, and I really miss his build threads. https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/my-willys-gas-coupe-build.572303/
I had no idea you did that to your coupe. Dang. What's the wildest HAMB build? I think you may have answered your own question, Jim.
Jim, you have two of the wildest builds. Between your orange flip top coupe and your current building can't decide which is crazier. I do have to say Plowboys' lunar lander and atomic punk builds were both out there. Littleman was building a rear engined altered called 333, half evil, but never did to ish the build thread.
Your stuff... and the '27 with Ford truck roof? didn't get finished but was pretty wild for a Trad. site @bgaro?
I remember that little roadster/coupe! Cool looking little thing. I lost track of it. How's it doing now?
This T by @BigJoeArt would have to be up there, it's still under construction, maybe not as flamboyant as some others but a pretty wild lil car! https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/just-a-big-model-t.1276032/
The Atomic Punk was a wild ride with a few wild stories to go along with it. Built by HAMBer Aaron Grote, AKA @Plowboy . It's interesting how similar his handle is to ******* ...
