Thanks Philly, My Dad p***ed away a few years ago. I inherited his paint box full of brushes and One Shots, I treasure it. Here's a few more shots of his work.

Does Richard Victor live in Iowa now? There is a "Victor" that I talk to every now and again that is a sign painter. I have only talked to him over the phone and he is a super nice guy, and willing to give tips and tricks. He lives in Iowa but travels to Omaha quite a bit. Just wondering.

I sold One Shot sign paint for over 40 years and have met many talented guys in the sign business, some also did pin striping.

It seems that most sign painters I dealt with were characters and marched to the beat of a different drum but when it came to their trade I was in awe.

I remember the late Roy Littlejohn telling me vinyl signs were going to be the death nail of old school sign painters because you could teach a monkey how to use a machine but you can't teach someone without talent to be a sign writer. 10428198_861464557217065_7307078620628919482_o.jpg

Here is some work by Charlie Tyre. HRP

We are lucky to have two of the best in wichita. Sign works is the company's name. Nadine and Chad do the best that I have seen!

None other than Ed Roth was a signwriter/sign painter. He did much of the signwork at Knotts Berry Farm.
