Projects Ford p/u box ID

Is there a thread that shows the different Ford pickup boxes for ID purposes? I'm trying to ID the correct year for this one but have wondered about this topic before as I've seen others.

 

I am thinking that is a 39-47

Kinda what I'm hoping. What are they worth by the looks of this one?

 

Looks like a 41. The 40 and earlier have the v8 embrossed int the tailgate. 6 cylinders were available after 41

 

38 to 41 bed is the same. Tailgate lost the V8 emblem as stated above. 42-47 bed is a little wider and has a wheelwell it the stamping pattern on the side.

 

40 - 41 had the spare tire mount on the right side. Don't know if the 38 - 39 had the spare mount

 

Don't know for sure if my bed on my 39 is original or not, I believe it to be. It has the spare mount on the right. It's also a 1 ton if that matters.

 

Please post a picture of a 39 one ton pickup

 

Don't think its a 1 ton. Measure inside width. '38-'41 beds are 46" inside, '42-'47 is 49".

 

This is my 1 ton awaiting work.
