I recently spun a crankshaft bearing on my 31 chevy which in turn through my crank into a wobble and smacked into my cam and took a big chuck out of the crank.
I'm wanting to keep this car as original as possible.
    So my question is.
where the hell can I find another crank and a cam with all the fixins that I need bearing etc. For a 194 ??
I've searched high and low and have found nothing.
any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks.

  2. Your best bet is to get on to http://vcca.org/forum/ubbthreads.php and ask for ***istance in locating another crank and cam, they should also be able to recommend a shop that pours Babbitt.

the VCCA site is a good one but maybe for members only. However, I have one, in fact a complete short block. Condition unknown as it is stuck. Its a '32 but I believe its the same. Located in NW lower MI. Interested?

Why not take the opportunity to upgrade to a 216 or even a mid 50's 235. More dependable and still looks original.
