Technical Help identifying motor??

    I have searched but could not find a thread that has anything close to the numbers I have. Stamped on the block on the p***enger side in front of the valve cover is II3HF. Can anyone help???

    Or maybe the whole engine..ie: front,rear,sides?could help.

    If it's a sbc I'll need the date code to say for sure, but the suffix code HF could be either from a 1965-68 327 or a 1969 350, or a 1978 Pontiac 350 (Chevy motor)

    Ok...took some more paint of and the code is actually FIII3HF.

    like he said, later 327. If you find the casting date on the top of the back of the block, you could figure out the exact year, if you care.

    Thanks guys. Had a friend come over and found more numbers on the drivers side block. He confirmed 64-47 327. Now to identify the trans, carb, rear end! LOL

    the carb is a quadrajet, but not the right one for that intake manifold. Post pics of the rest, the more pictures (in focus, good light, etc) the better.
