Hey, everyone. Been lurking, for a while and thought I'd hitch up. Don't know where I'll fit but I'm sure I'll have something to add. Lots of knowledgeable and dedicated people, here. And a lot of us Ol'Farts. Retired Harley trash and lov'n it. Started building my first rig, when I was 13. A 40 Ford with a 392 Hemi., that I began racing, when I was 14 at a local 1/5 miler, in Ohio. I belonged to a club called "Trenta del la cosa migliore", (Italian for "Thirty of the best). At the same time, I bought my fathers 50 Merc, put a 53 Lincoln motor in, it had 6 Stromberg 97s, headers and 3 on the floor. Been playing with rigs and motors, every since. Over the years I've built A 50 Chevy Gasser, 56 Chevy street rod with a 409, a 57 Chevy with all Mopar running gear (440 with dual quads, that ran on alky, ran it a lot at (OCIR), 70 Nova with a blown 454, and my current, 73 Charger, with a stroked 440 (500 CI now) So, glad to meet ya and hope to have some fun...Crazy
Welcome! I'm also retired scooter trash, just woke up one day and was over it. I'm using a 440/TF727 in my '56 Plymouth.
Oh, I still straddle a Pig. Have a 93 FXSTC. What is the set up on the 440? Glad to see that you used Mopar motor and tranny. Most Mopar street rods, that I see, have a 350/350 set up. And thanks for the welcome.Crazy
