thanks, it may help a bit, i plan on getting a local shop to fold me up new rails already raised for a channel, rather than buying a set and chopping them up
If you need any pictures of the rails in a car I have a 31 roadster which I am building. Right now I have the empty body sitting on the ch***is so it would be easy to get pictures of the rails in the car. Gordon
thanks mate, but i already have that now, just a bit hard to get decent measurements, i want to get a new subframe built before i completely pull the body apart, plan is to soak the complete panels in citric acid to remove the rust but keep all the original paint, wipe it down with phosphoric acid to seal it, then when its finally done... flat clear coat... or i strip it at the end and paint it some rad colour
Just watch how long you leave it in the citric acid as i recently did it to a model t panel and most of the paint then flaked off very easy, the paint looked good up until then.
