Hartford style Shocks: HAMB'r made?

  1. I can't remember the name of the HAMB'r that makes hartford style shocks. I was at his website week, but i wiped my computer and forgot to bookmark his site...

  4. those are the ones i was thinking of. out of curiousity could you add a second arm to them like the old scissor style hartfords?

    they look great btw.

    That's OK, I never knew he was out there, let alone making Hartfords.:) Wonder if Bob will sell just the star springs?

    I picked up a pair pretty cheap on ebay a while back, two arm. And I think there are accurate reproductions of lots of the parts available, including the star springs.

    It's been a little while now, I know it was under $100...I think I paid about $60 for the pair. They cleaned up real nice. I'm going to use them on the front of my T.

    T is a '26 roadster pickup, partially channeled over a '32 frame. I haven't worked on it in the last six months though.

    You can also get new Hartford friction shocks from Holden in the U.K. They're a little more pricey, but look like the original deal.
