cant get much more simple than the title on this..how often do you visit the main page www.jalopyjournal.com?i'm just asking this out of general curiousity.i enjoy both JJ and the HAMB, but i was kinda wondering how large of an entity the HAMB has become itself..do you log onto it every day and scope it out before you go to HAMB or do you just jump straight to the HAMB page and skip JJ? like i said, i enjoy JJ and HAMB both, but i guess i tend to visit HAMB more than the main site simply because of all the tech info posted here on such a regular basis.i work full time and druring my lunch hour and after work i ALWAYS check for new tech posts.i've got tech tips and how-to articles for stuff i never plan on doing! :D but that's just me.i visit build logs and tech articles for all kinds of stuff just to see how they do it or the care/craft involved in something.plus you never know what you might learn from an unexpected source.but back to the main question: do you visit the JJ site or just the HAMB or both? i'm just curious and i'm sure Ryan would like to know this answer as well.thanks all!

i never left. i just refresh every so often at work...have a few browser windows open at all times.

  5. Go here and browse around.

    http://www.jalopyjournal.com/

I don't remember my history well so i don't know what came first the Journal or the HAMB, but the Jalopy Journal was how Ryan and I became aqquainted. really long story.

I became a HAMBer after lurking about 5 minutes, Ryan and I missed seeing each other by a Tuna Sandwich at a car show . . . a lot of extrenuating circumstances.

Anyway I degress, I was hitting the journal about once a week to look for something new.

Now I try to hit it about once a day, because its changeing faster than I can believe.

Ryan, if you catch this you gots it in spades bro. The Journal is better than ever. In the words of an old and now deceised friend of the family "I'm Jazzzzed maaaaan!!!"

Couple times a day. Work and meaningful conversation with my wife limit my connection time. Plus the damn dial-up connection at home, but at work with high speed-yeeha.

I had to stop while we shopped for a house, but we closed last week, so I'm full-time again. It'll be even moreso once we get high-speed hooked up at the new house. It's the second forum I visit after the local music forum (I'm in too many bands), so proly about 200 times a day when I'm at work - I'm Tier-3 Help Desk Support so it's boring until something is on fire and people are screaming to get it fixed. On my off days, a few times a day, more on days when I'm just sitting around, less on good days. There's ALWAYS something interesting or cool to look at on here. Thanks to Ryan, whom I've never met or even spoken with, for this thing, though. It's completely awesome. Now that I own a house with a nice garage, I can participate more, too...

    I have to admit,
I rarely visit the Jalopy Journal
both my computers at work and at home have shortcuts direct to the HAMB

I have got to get over there more often
I see it changing and it looks good

Since Jalopy Journal just changed up to the new format I check it every day, the HAMB on the other hand I am basically on all day at work and some at home too.

    Too much is never enough.

  12. Before v6.0, hardly ever, now with stuff from the HAMB on there, and other stuff, I'm going there more often.

The JJ is my homepage so everytime I visit the HAMB, which is about 4 - 8 times a day, I visit the JJ.

  20. I've never really looked into it very much. I just use it to jump straight to HAMB. Maybe I should check it out now

Hey, thanks for the nice comments fellas...

TJJ will start making more and more of a presence around here. It started this whole mess years ago and I want to bring it back. Eventually, TJJ will be the place to go just to get a highlite of what's going on on the HAMB... Featured posts, members, projects, etc...

I think it is going to be pretty cool.

I've always had a link to to go right to the hamb. I never really understood what the jalopy journal was... but I looked at it for the first time in a year today... and it's exciting. I feel smarter having read all the entires.

I DON'T!!! I did a couple of times at the new launch but now not really.

Not since I started pulling the rss feeds so I dont need to visit the actual site to get the hot new stories. And I guarantee that I know about the post within 5 minutes of it going up on a normal business day.

    Great job Ryan!
