That corbinder has never looked so good. Like the engine height. Looks nasty.

So, last time you may have noticed that it is on its own wheels now. Keep in mind that everything is just roughed in and tacked together. These are a few pics of the full truck so far....(the valve covers may be a future addition. I have to work on the adapters as they are only wood for now.)

  3. Nice truck stait2u! I have a '34 C-1 like yours. Chopped roof, 671 Supercharged 350 Chevy, TH400 3 speed auto, 9" Ford rear with 3:50 gears, Dutchman axles, Mustang II IFS. I will post a picture of it.

I found a '32 in a warehouse here in B.C. years ago. It turned up again about 5 years ago but the owner wanted a lot for it. I will try to find the pictures I have and post them.

    Keep up the good work!

Very nice truck, Big Banger...fenders and all. This one did not come with them and the fenders on the first one I started were going to take work.

I'll post on the rear half this time. You can see in the pictures that I decided to show the frame rails under the bed. I felt that I needed the extra height on the bed proportion-wise.

Some may have noticed the hole in the frame behind the cab. In order to make a clean vertical exhaust routing and have the truck as low as possible, I chose to route it through the rail. Initially, I planned on running pipe through the rail but more thought brought me to flanges on each side....you'll see this in future pictures. I know some of you will not like vertical exhaust but I will to try for a tasteful rendition. It will be tucked in close to the bed and it will be low profile. If I do not like it, the mounting flanges will allow me to change it out for different routings.

The rear suspension is a parallel four link because the truck I bought already had all this linkage. The panhard bar will be changed in the future to run off the left hand frame rail.

  5. You are doing nice work, I like the look!! It is nice to see more INTERNATIONAL'S being built. The styling of these early ones are hard to beat.

If I keep mine it will be repainted in a sapphire metallic blue and it will get a blown 426 Hemi.

    Thanks.

Well, it's time for an update. The project is still taking shape since it is at the shop but soon it will be back at my place to put the finishing touches on it.

There are a lot of details to iron out before blowing it apart for paint, but you get the idea.....

One pic below is how it went home and the other is the color scheme I'm mulling over. It is paintbrushed in as I do not have Photoshop.

It has now come a long way from where it was in the last post...about a year's worth. This is the chassis now in rolling form. The body is at the shop for body work and paint. At this point, I think it can still be ready for the Roundup. Any suggestions for color schemes on the body?

Hopefully, it will be running and driving art someday soon! :) Thx.

The exhaust manifolds are Speedway Motors ramhorn exhaust. They enhanced the flow on the old GM manifolds and run 2 1/2" collectors. Your choices are cast iron, stainless, or polished stainless.

  14. It has been awhile but I finally found the picture of the '33 International I found in a warehouse in Vancouver, B.C. years ago. I should have bought it. It surfaced again a few years ago but the owner wanted a lot of money for it. It seemed to be missing only the rear fenders. The rear window was made larger for a camera because the truck was used in a movie.

Yeah, the 32-33 IH's are a really sweet body style. I never could find one in my price range though. Very few ever come on the market.

Thanks, oddball. I knew I had to section the grille or lay it over in order to keep the lines and the latter just didn't appeal to me....don't like the look that well.

Stacy David chopped an International, not sure how much, but there are some photos on his website.

  22. Mine had the section between the rear window and the belt line removed so the rear window could be left the original size.
