I'm looking for a multi carb set up for a chrysler flathead inline 6 iv been told to use one from a dodge or plymouth but the chryslers used a longer block. Can anyone help me?
Yep, Chryslers were longer. I know the head is about 2 or so inches longer. Check out EDGY, He make aluminum heads for the Chry, and Dodge Sixes and Intakes too. Jeff
George Asche in PA. makes cast aluminum, or can modify a stocker. Search his name on here for more info
You can probably find some information on this forum: http://www430.pair.com/p15d24/mopar_forum/forumdisplay.php?f=2 says dodge/plymouth but the group is really wider than that and I occasionally see stuff for the long block engines. Very knowledgeable group. Rebecca
You have a good manifold on your stocker. Modify it ! Put another carb on each end of the intake and make it the same height as the original carb. We used 3-"94's" and progressive linkage on our Chrysler flathead and drove it to and from National Trail Raceway back in the 60's and it would run 14.50's at 89 mph. I still have the setup in tack from 1968 and will be coming out again soon, in the same car.
Some trucks came with a 2 carb intake. maybe you could find one of them. Or do what everybody says. make something.
