So I'm going to start work on my 56 Chevy again soon, and I want to replace the old master cylinder with a dual reservoir mc. What do I need to think about as far as size, etc. ? Anything else that should be taken into consideration, please let me know. Thanks in advance to everybody.
If you are going to stick with drums all around, look for a '67-69 El Camino with non power drums MC. A lot of MC's will interchange with the two stud units. A good parts store like NAPA should have picture books, with dimensions. They will also have the br*** fittings, and steel lines you will need. I suggest replacing ALL the original lines. Use the stock lenghts,if you don't have the nessesary doubble flareing tool. Sparky
I was actually going to put drop spindles and discs on the front and keep drums in the rear. What would be good to use for that set up?
70 Chevelle / ElCamino 454's had so little vacuum, they came with manual brakes, these work pretty good, with the stock metering /proportioning valve , ought to fit the weight distribution of your 56 pretty good jack
