we have gotten to expect a lot from this social group ( largest on the hamb), lets not forget that during the hamb conversion we all missed each other and our group, i can only imagine the terror jeffb2 had to go through to restart our group and answer all our questions a zillion times over. so thank you jeffb2 for all your hard work this year for our social group
Thumbs up to Jeffb----I agree. Your hard work and dedication make this Social Group the best . I sometimes find it unbelievable the effort you project into the group. Thank you for all you contribute!!!! Mike C
I would like to add my name to the list of the people that appreciate your efforts that you put in to keep this site going and a big thanks to Ryan for allowing it to exist
Jeff is a great guy,not only does he moderate this social forum but he also is a valuable member over on the '54 Ford Club of America forum where I am the administrator and know the amount of work involved in keeping a site current. Jeff goes above and beyond to help with his wealth of information. We don't always agree but I respect Jeff and his opinion and look forward to his contributions for years to come. Merry Christmas my friend. HRP
You da man, Jeff. A big thanks from me too. And Merry Christmas, to you and all the contributors/members/readers on the forum. Rich
Big thanks and have a great Christmas Jeff thanks for all the work you do to make this place so good Dunk
Thanks to all of you for keeping our site active Looks like the "Big Guy" is bringing good Ford owners a nice present and a lump of coal for the "Bowtie" folks. Merry Christmas and a Happy New year to all my friends here in the 52-59 Ford Group!
Funny you should mention the coal. After living with us for 22 of the 26 years my wife and I have been married, my wife's neice bought a house. It's an old victorian with a dug-out basemant for the furnace(new..heat and air). I was looking in a side room down there and a window up on the top of the wall. I mentioned to my neice I thought this was an old coal shute and looked around a bit. in the corner was a big old chunk of coal! I picked it up and handed it to her..it was the first time she had ever seen coal. Funny, I don't even know where you could buy it nowadays even if you wanted to give it to someone for Christmas.
Well not the real deal but more useful http://www.orientaltrading.com/ui/browse/processRequest.do?requestURI=processProduct****alog&categoryId=377320&sku=13614157&BP=10879&ms=search&source=Google&cm_mmc=Google-_-GooglePLA-_-Teaching Supplies & Stationery/Stationery/Erasers-_-Lump of Coal Erasers&cm_mmca1=OTC PLAs&cm_mmca2=GooglePLAs&cm_mmca3=10879&cm_mmca4=FS49&cm_mmca5=Shopping&cm_mmca6=Teaching Supplies & Stationery&cm_mmca11=13614157&cm_mmca12=Lump of Coal Erasers&gclid=CjwKEAiAqrqkBRCep-rKnt_r_lkSJAArVUBc1HCfIevy2vAYtc0qy9hadxlkbPx4z_0q1fkH4BAiERoCdu3w_wcB Funny thing in some parts it is making a comeback:http://www.city-data.com/forum/house/489442-heating-coal-me-beginners-guide.html When I was a kid back in the 50's in St. Paul we lived in a 100+ year old four-plex the landlord would pay me to shovel the clinkers out and spread them on the old dirt drive way for winter traction.
thank you Jeff. you are always hard at it. The site wouldn't be the same if you weren't here!! Merry Christmas to you & yours
Thanks Jeff, As is said in the South, "You done good boy."(Even though you ain't no boy) Merry Christmas
Just a indication just how much the world has changed in our lifetime. My granddad heated with coal and I remember riding in his pickup and traveling several miles to the ice house/coal yard...nether one exist anymore. I haven't seen a piece of coal in probably 40 years. HRP
Same here. Jeff has helped me with almost every question I have posted here. Above and beyond with everything he does here. Thanks Jeff!
Thank you Jeff. As I recall, you were the one that first told me that this group even existed. Before then, I had no idea. We appreciate your work. Merry Christmas
I would also like to chime in and say thank you and Merry Christmas to Jeff, and also to all the others in this social group " Merry Christmas."
