Well, it's finally time to start a hot rod project for my brother. He restored a couple of nice Harleys and spent a lot of time helping me finish my 31 AV8 Pickup. So he, Ed and I are ready to make some progress. He's been gathering parts for a bit and we have enough to start doing something. We're not exactly sure what it is we're starting (coupe/roadster/pickup) but we'll get to that when he figures it out. So, here's what we have to start with: '54 Dodge Red Ram Hemi 241 Cu.In. Model A frame and 1 extra set of rails clipped short near the crossmember '40 spring behind banjo 42-48 open drive banjo center 3:78 R&P Stock type reverse eye A front spring Really nice Buick Finned Drums '40 brakes 16x4" '40 wheels (looking for a pair of 16x5" if anyone has a couple) The baby hemi has been taken apart, block has been tanked, heads are out getting a valve job. The '40 banjo is torn down and ready to be cleaned. We have a 3" drop Model A axle on the way from Anson Dropped Axles. We plan on starting the frame this week. So, not too exciting right now but I'll update as we make progress. Here's a few pics to get started.
Looks like great coffee ! One or two more cups, and the guy with the torch will be doing the splits ! Gives us guys that can't touch their toes....some hope yet ! Great parts + friends = fun Awesome start.
I see you guys made it back home after picking up the frame.. It will be fun to watch your progress.. Good friends and good coffee are hard to find...

Thanks for the link. Not sure what he's going to do yet. I think he's leaning towards TH350. We will see. A lot of things are still just in the idea stage.
I hope you didn't heat the pizza up with the torch like Lindbergh did with those sand dabs in the Spirit of St.Louis, yuck! "I need my mirror boy"
Hey F6 You got the right poster in your shop of the Yellow beauty one of my Fav's, use to watch the GPB fueler run at the ' Beach ' on sat nite's and put the other cars on the trailer week after week Really like the early pick ups too, wished I had one back in the day for a tow car for my 37' g***er G Don
Thanks! You know it buddy! Happy Holidays if I dont talk to you before then. Thanks! You can't heat pizza with a torch? ****. Would have been cool to see it run.
