I was looking for my thread that I started, and cant find it. I can understand if it got deleted, but usually, I can still find it. I looked in my content and it is not there either. I wanted to add a final comment on my trip, but can't find the thread.

I spent about a hour talking to "Sled", we could not get together because of my time restraints. It would have been a great time I believe if we could have met up. All of the comments about the danger in Mexico, I believe are somewhat false. There is a lot of problems there, but I did not see them on my trip. The people there were kind and helpful, and I would do it again in a heart beat. Thanks from everyone for the good wishes. I am now back home in WI, spending the day with my wife on her 40th birthday. Good wishes to all and Thanks again.

Happy birthday to your missus too from down under
Was enjoying the thread, like lots of others, and am pleased that you enjoyed your trip and arrived home safely.
    Pictures would be cool.

Hummm .let me see, after all the bad things ,including ,murder, **** and kidnapping you had a great time. Yes it is a poor country, but after a month down there I never had any missgivings about telling you to do it. My guess is all the naysayers have never been there and listen to others who have never been there. Hell if you act like an Idiot you can be killed in just about any major American city. Happy Birthday to the pretty one.

  15. I lived on the Isthmus for 7 years and I would not have said a thing if my uncle had not suggested that I don't come and visit, he has been there since the end of the second war. I am still a card holding member of the Club Libano in Vera Cruz City.

They used to say that Mexico was a dangerous place and they were correct for all intents and purposes, but that was while El Cuchino Loco was still the main boss in the country and everything was still old gansta. Now the country is being run by a whole bunch of new millennium bosses, they don't have the same ethics as the old school crime bosses.

I am glad that everything turned out all right as I said before, but I probably have a pretty good handle on the interior of the country, I do still have people down that way.

Well so much for politics, sorry about that. Delete if you must.
