  2. were you at El Faralito in The Mission? I love thier burritos, especially after a nice night at BAR down the street. On the topic at hand, be ready for the guy you maced to be looking for you, not saying you fucked up, but you gotta know he'll be seeking "justice"

"Never fight unless you're willing to do whatever it takes to win. And live with the consequences. If you can't do that, walk away.
Get it done and don't quit until it's done. Bullshit is for the movies. So is fair play. When the guy says "I'm gonna..." Don't let him finish the sentence. Drop him or walk away. You want the guy on the ground and out before the rest decide to jump in. Don't stand there playing his game in front of his buddies. Do that and you'll wind up fighting the whole bunch. Either now or later."

    Good advice.
Glad you got to go home in the end.

Now see, here in MO, where it's legal to carry a handgun concealed as long as you have a permit (of which I plan to get mine shortly) and the fact that it's legal to carry a concealed handgun in your car as long as you're over 23 years old even without a CCW permit, the SOB with the knife would have gotten to know a couple rounds of .38 police special jacketed hollow points personal like. His bitch friends too if they'd have come close. Tough talk, sure, but you don't fuck with me or my family, unless you plan to follow through, and by God, I'm not going to give you the chance.

That said, I'm sorry you got a knife pulled on you, that experience isn't the best in the world. Had an ass like that suckerpunch me in the side of the head when I was a young man, before the CCW laws were in effect. Nowadays the same ass would likely get shot. Have a former friend of mine got stupid and confronted an off duty MP here in such a manner, he got to spend 2 months in jail and big fines and all that kind of stuff. They don't fuck around in MO anymore.

Move out of the People's Republic of California and to a state where the 2nd amendment isn't cut to shreds and it's legal to be able to defend yourself with a handgun.

I'm gonna get so flamed for that...

I've got a burrito in the microwave right now. Only worry I have is making sure it's warm all the way through.

I'm glad I live way, way far away from you. Sounds like a shitty place to be.

EXACTLY!!! I think should apply for a life insurance policy today with your wife as the benificary. After your mace antics that psycho is gonna find you and this time it isn't gonna be with a knife! The mission is a small place you won't be hard to find. RIP -stick

from what your reaction was that night ...you may have made it worst for you and your wife:(

Good on ya for not going back and causing more harm, that rules!

"Walking on" is always the best thing to do, even when your PRIDE and EGO is telling you different!

take care and hope that this doesn't turn into something bigger someday.
    God bless,

Well, like I always say, better to be judged by twelve than carried by six... Also kinda related to the point a little. At last years Viva Las Vegas I observed some really dumb ass shit going down it the parking-lot. It all had to do with the "My Club is tougher than your club" mentality. Mostly young dumb punks acting EXACTLY like street thug gangsters. I go for the simple pleasure of checking out the cars, listening to the music, and lookin'at the ladies! But there is always some dumb club that is usually about 8-10 deep (and only one car) and some one starts puttin' there hands on someone else's girl... next thing you know the male machismo kicks in and a fight ensues. I am truly tired of that crap because more often that not in a one on one scrap the loudest mouth usually loses, so if you see this type of activity please do your part to stop it ESPECIALLY if it's your fellow clubmate.

The truth is the guy will probably wake up in the morning wondering why his eyes burn so bad.

My experience has been that these guys never learn any lessons, but if they are drunk anyway, you might as well dot their eye--at least you will feel better about it. Although, I have to say that I live in rural Kansas and that's about as far as it ever goes with farm boys.

I too was wondering if you were at el farrolito, I used to got there often after the bars closed.

The Mission can be a shady place. When I was 20, a friend from school was down there by himself. He got caught between two different parties' beef and as a result was hit in the head with a crowbar. He never returned to school due to permanent brain damage.

Lay low, you may have exacerbated the situation by macing the guy (not that I blame you).

glad you didnt get hurt man. let cool heads prevail and remember what comes around goes around.somebody has that pussies number.

  17. I'm glad you didn't get hurt Steve- dude. That's a tough call man. Everyone here's quick to say what you should or shouldn't do, but it's different when you're in the moment. You don't know what you'll do till it happens. Noone does. I would be careful man. Definitely get a new pepper spray can and have it handy cause you might need it.

I had a fucked up thing happen to me recently where some crazy sob was riding my ass bad in town when I had my 4 yr. old daughter with me in the car, acting like he was going to ram me. I tried to ignore this guy but he was freaking out. The one lane turned into two ahead, I slowed way down and pulled over, he passed me then swerved in front of both lanes of traffic, stopped everyone in that direction and made a roadblock with his car and I had nowhere to go. He gets out of his car and comes up to my window, fists packed yelling at me and calling me every name in the book. I have never seen this man in my life, nor his car. He came out of nowhere and got right onto my ass, crazy. This guy proceeded to threaten me with my life and acted like he was going to punch me through the window of my car. My daughter is freaking out in the back. I'm getting pissed. His fat gut is right in front of me outside my window. I started to reach for my big knife under my seat to open this fucker and let his shit spill out. I'm getting very very angry now, and instead I plead with this asshole to leave me alone, that i have my daughter with me and he's making a big mistake. All the while I have a knife in my hand that he's unaware of. He finally got in his car and pealed out and left. I called 911 IMMEDIATELY and stayed on CHP and Sherrifs office until they went and found that asshole. They found out who he was, and that he lived in my town, but never could pin him down, never home or so it seemed.
I had never seen him or his car before and haven't since. I'm glad I didn't do what I wanted to do or I might be in prison for murder right now because I can't afford a lawyer and the justice system is a joke. Crazy shit happens when you least expect it. I'm glad you're okay- keep your ears to the tracks Steve- hope all will be okay from here out.

You should have kicked his ass after you maced him. I hate shit like that. I broke my leg like 4 summers ago when I was in 6th grade and about 13 years old. After 4 months in just about every leg casts possible, I was finally was able to wear a leg brace and ride my bike, so first time out on the bike again and 3 16 year old black kids (not trying to sound racist) walk over to me, 2 of them hung back and one asked if I could ride my bike, since I knew better I told him no and BAM nailed across the face with a 2 inch gash above my eye (WITH A FUCKING LEG BRACE ON MY DAMNED LEG) woke up a minute later in the grass, bleeding run 3 fucking miserable blocks to one of my parents friends house and called the cops. So I feel for ya man...

It's hard to remember, after reading something like this, that the large majority of citizens lead quiet unassuming lives. But that's boring, right?

All I can say is, lay low brother.

Yeah thats right, but legally they walked away and he came after the guy with the knife, which makes him guilty of Battery. He got even, nuff said.

    Anybody seen Oddrod lately?

  29. Since this thread is on a revival mode.

No truer words have been spoke.

You gotta be down for your shit if you are going to step with somebody. You have to be willing to take some and give some, and if you aren't go home and hug your kids.

I never used to walk away from stupid shit like this. wanna get down cool with me I got the time....Now that I have a wife and kids I walk away alot more. I will fight but it has to be a situation where I gotta fight. Dude pulls a knife on me he better be better then me, and if I get to mine he better be ready to go all the way.

You better watch you ass cause these youngsters now days don't know how to fight. That is why they pull knives and guns. even 3 or 4 on one is a fair fight with these whimpy kids....

Avoid this shit and don't screw your life up cause you got scared and felt you had to do something cause you are a man.
