The previous owner had this pickup for about 30 years. He originally started cutomizing it in the late 1980's. Over the years he added AC, a 2nd fuel tank, elect fuel pumps, bucket seats and console, elect windows and door locks, custom wheels, and cruise control (not working). I don't know what he has done inside the flathead motor but he did add Edelbrock alum heads and a Edelbrock 2X2 alum intake manifold. The man pasted away about 8 years ago after an extended illness and the pickup was set off under a shed roof beside his shop. About 1 1/2 years ago when I first saw the truck it was obvious it hadn't been touched for a long time. It know runs great and drives very good. The body and suspension are very tight. The AC does not work. He had installed the condensor under the bed floor which roted the hardwood but the stainless strip and bolts are in good shape. I removed the 2nd fuel tank and the condensor from under the bed. The bed is raised about 4 inches apparently to make room for those items. The compressor is still mounted but doesn't work. This is not a show truck but could very easily be with a few updates. What ever work he has done inside the motor has made it very strong running. It IS a great driver and a lot of fun to run around in. The price is $14,000 OBO. Got to start somewhere. Call Tom at 615-830-4369.
