    does it have any numbers cast in the bottom, where it attaches to the door?

    With exposed screws, I believe it is an aftermarket item.

    Kinda reminds me of a 57 olds headlight bezel so I searched but it wasnt it.

    I would guess aftermarket. Maybe Yankee, they made a lot of different mirrors and other bolt on chrome things.

    seems like that is what was on my moms 59 ford galaxie, but i was a small kid.

    Thanks for the comments! It has a 800 or a 300 stamped under the base and it's pot metal rather than stainless...

    I kind of figured it might be an aftermarket accessory because of the part number...normal car parts have longer numbers, usually 6 to 8 digits.
