I've got the speedway one myself and haven't had any issues. Also, I'm pretty sure even the the $400 flaming river box is made offshore.

Flaming river has to pay for those full back page ads with Street Rodder magazine.

I used Flaming River boxes on all my customer ch***is for several years but as they got some miles on them there were issues. Since I've went to the North American built Vega box I've had no customer complaints. Cost a little more but worth it for my peace of mind.

I found a nice tight original Vega to use on my 34. I trust "genuine GM parts" over Chinese parts.

Flaming River has a worthless sales pitch they call a "lifetime warranty". It cost me almost $200.00 for them to fix a mustang box that wasn't machined properly and I didn't catch it until I went to install it about 2 years after buying it. I wouldn't buy anything they offer and would go with a Borgenson if I was in the market.
