There seems to be a change coming at the helm of Hop Up. Who is taking it over?

Damn it would be cool to have some publication out again from them. Morty is a cool guy, but he has just been kinda blown out for the last 5 years or so. I can't blame him...

 

Would love to see it make a comeback...hopefully it stays true to what it was!

 

If Mark couldn't make a go of it with all his contacts, good taste in cars, and writing skills, who could? Maybe a new format is coming. I'd like to see Kirk Jones, or Ryan take it on, and hope that Mark will still contribute.....

 

Had lunch several years back with Mark and the hot rod garage crew, and he said Hop up was never a money maker.
This would be the perfect match if Ryan took over Hop Up...he'd do it proud.

I would value the continuation of Hop Up - it's a link to the past in print media that is fast disappearing. The mag is iconic in some ways, so big shoes to fill, and I hope they are.

 

Great to hear some action on it. Really have missed it ,since Mr Morton went on break.

I have it on good authority that it will be Larry Flint.

 

It is great to know Hop Up will be back in new hands. Hopefully it will return to reporting on genuine Hot rods, customs, race cars and the history of machines from many angles. It will be good if they can wipe away the elitism and snobbery that sullied the great name over the past few years. I wish the new owners well. TEB

Mark did such a great job ,not only with the website but the books also.
