49 chevy gas tank

Sometimes google and search just isn't enough. What are you 49 chevy guys using for a tank that places the filler in the trunk? And what company do you prefer??

 

Filler isn't a part of the tank, so you aught to be able to just change to a different neck.

 

most 49-54 chevy guys use the 64-66 Mustang gas tank when putting the filler in the trunk... is that what youre talking about?

I used a early Mustang tank in my 50 Chevy. I did alot of shopping aroung for price and quality. I ended up getting one from Kentucky Mustang. Bast price and the tank is made in Canada. Todd

I just found this old thread...what did you guys use for a sending unit? Is it possible to use the stock chevy guage with the mustang tank?
