Sorry I'm late for posting sunday models but here is the '40 Ford I posted last time in it's progress stage finished
Finally finished the 57 Ford I started last year and working on the ZZ top coupe that will look like a 50s hotrod.
looks like I'm starting this weeks sunday models thread, here are a few projects on the bench as of this past week. Thanks for looking, have made more progress on the '34 and should be finished today or tonight, also got the engine halves glued on the Merc and the '32...LOL
Im late to the show but I basically threw this one together over the holiday break. Have no clue how I got the pics flipped like that lol.
I have been working on this one all week. It's the AMT Phantom Vickie. Kind of backdated and used and abused. It will have the y block out of Revells new '57 ford with a quad two barrels on top. Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
Mike 51 hit the nail on the head. AMT '55 Bel Air. A 'lil sandpaper n creative painting & ya get a 210 2dr post.
I can't believe that I only finished one car in 2014! My detailed build for the H.A.M.B. dragster build-off in the spring went awry when the resin engine I was using would not let the paint dry. No amount of soaking, scrubbing and/or sealing with various chemicals and paints would keep it from from having a gooey surface when painted. It appeared that there would be very few entries in the contest so I built this from the Revell Tony Nancy kit with minimal painting and details. I started at 11 a.m. on a Friday and finished just in time to shoot photos as the sun was setting on Sunday. It was like building models when I was a kid: paint a few of the parts and assemble the rest without paint. Snip it off the sprue, glue it on. Snip it off the sprue, glue it on... For 2015, I'm working on a custom entry for this customclinic.com contest: http://www.customclinic.com/?page_id=37 My favorite part of this contest is "Valley Custom Styling Analysis Award will be presented to the best written critique of his or her entry, as prepared by the entrant."
Heres an Original issue AMT Vega funny car I got from a buddy of mine. Someone had started it but never finished. I left their original work intact and just basically reattached any broken parts. I finished the body and scavenged decals from a Charger kit. it turned out ok.
Teardrop travel trailer.'40 Ford rear fenders, dropped axle and door handles. Evergreen sheet for the rest.
