Anybody have a pic my dad was just showing me a pic of an airplane and there was a really cool looking van in the background and he said it was a fordson beetle and he said that he had seen the in Italy in wwII?
It just got re-listed with a BIN price of, get this, $18K (dollars, not pounds) http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4607498038
I think it's a bit overpriced - granted it's historic and all that, but c'mon - it's an industrial truck. I agree, it'd make a neat camper-type ...thing... for lack of a better term, but not at $18K
What was it used for? There doesn't appear to be enough room inside to store anything for deliveries. Looks Renault...or maybe Citroen designed? The French had SOMETHING to do with it!!! LoL I'd like to have one though...
"Vehicle Description Sorry for the relisting, but I decided to add a buy it now price. This vehicle is in remarkable condition, its been in dry storage for the 12 years, its a flat head V8, it starts and drives perfectly, it was allegedly built in 1936 for the soul purpose of raising and lowering Barrage balloons around airfields along with another 43 of them for use throughout the second world war, this one is reputed to be one of only two left in the world, it will make a magnificent restoration project, I would be willing to ship world wide after full payment is received including shipping costs, these costs will be the responsibility of the purchaser to sort out for themselves, I will be quite happy to load it into a secure container on youre behalf. I reserve the right to end the auction at any time as this vehicle is also advertised elsewhere. Happy bidding." That thing is bad ***!
I love it. Flathead powered, COE, with giant Divco-looking wheels. Personally I'd restore it rather than customizing it, but you could put some speed equipment and twice pipes on the flattie. Of course, you'd need to find a barrage baloon.
There you go, done....yummy...me likey !!! Any front pics of it, fully louvered hood or... / primerkid
Anyone know if it sold? I mailed the guy the first time he listed it to see if he had a price in mind as it is only 40 miles away from me. He refused and then re-listed it with a buy it now of $18K then pulled it. I can't believe anyone paid that especially as he had very poor feedback with comments about jacking the price up after the auction ended. Rich
