I had a pair of 16 - 40 spoke Kelsey Hayes wire wheels widened to 5 3/4" (+/-) and now its time to mount the tubes & tires. When I bought the tires from Koker, I also ordered the stock size flaps to protect the tubes from the back side of the spokes..... Now that I had the wheels widened, the flaps do not cover the spoke heads and I would need wider flaps to protect the tubes, but can not find anything and running 2 would not solve the problem. What have you done to resolve this? Buying a small diameter inner tube and cutting it to simulate the flap would seem the easiest, but I am not sure as to what size tube to buy so that it is not too lose and does not fit tightly against the heads of the spokes. Fork lifts and commercial truck flaps will not stretch over the wheels because they are all designed to fit over a 2 piece wheel - so what have you done? o_O Thanks, Steve
