The family and I went to Destin, FL for a few days over the holidays and while wandering around in one of the antique stores in Miramar Beach I came across this.

IMG_0423.JPG The tag listed it as fitting a 1948 something. I couldn't make out the rest of the tag very well. Most of the bracketry was there, but the middle bracket was missing. Looked in very good shape. Price was $135. Not bad if you're in the market for a visor. I don't currently have anything it would fit so I left it hanging there, but thought I'd mention it in case anyone was in the area and in the market. It's located at a place called Antiques on Holiday behind the Smith's Antique Mall on 98 in Miramar Beach.

    Happy New Year!

Is that polished stainless for trim? That's probably a $350 piece to the right person, $500 if your in So. Cal.:D

Yep, that's the kind of stuff you buy whether you need it or not, sell it and buy something you do need. The vast majority of my car was (is being) done that way.

I thought long and hard about it, but figured I'd p*** on the location to someone that could use it right now.

It does have stainless trim on it. Not a bad looking piece.

That would sell on "That Auction Site" for a good price, and make a Low Rider owner very happy. Bob

Looks like a Comet Skyshield (Dieterich) visor. Same style as mine. Mine is waffle finish stainless steel. That's a bargain at that price! Centre divider support wouldn't be that hard to replicate. Will suit late 30s to late 40s with split screen and is adjustable for width
