There are two on Ebay now for under $10,000. They appear to be clean, garaged, running vehicles. I guess you can ask whatever you want. Bob http://www.bobsretrophobia.com/
Seems high even for a nice stock 32. You should be able to buy a rodded sedan or maybe a coupe for that money. I could be wrong.
$10K on eBay is asking may or may not be getting. For $32K you are buying the mans' dream. That doesn't trade very well.
Years ago my pops bought his barn find 5 window in tuffer shape than that for north of that 32,ooo price. I thought and still think he was crazy to pay that but he was happy and I guess thats all that matters.
I believe $22-25k is more in line with the market. But, I'm not buying or looking at them everyday. Tim
What are your plans for it? If you're going to tear it apart to build a Hot Rod out of it, you'd be $$$ ahead to start with a $5-8k body and a new frame, or someone's unfinished roller. If you're looking to add an original 4 cyl. 32 to your stable, it might be a deal at 25k. I think 32k is steep. What shape is it in mechanically and body wise? Is it an old restoration with pop rivet patches and bondo or a never rusted gennie?
Would hot rod it. No patches or bondo. If I start with a nice car then i don't have to worry about paint or interior.
thats a good price for that car.if you are goimg to hotrod it find a body and buy a frame. are you could buy that one and sale the parts you dont wont and still come out good.32 parts sale for good moeny.
The car looks like a nice piece,if you want it take cash and offer him what your willing to pay. You will save money by buying a solid car. HRP
i just looked on eBay and i can't find any $10,000 deuce Tudors...how did you find them? i'm a little out of touch on prices.... not sure if it's worth 32K , but i know 10K won't buy something like that
I can't see paying that much $$ just because it's a '32. They're overpriced because there is a bloated demand for a car that is not so easy to find anymore. There's a nice 3W coupe on HAMB right now for $28K OBO. And it's 90% finished. Wait a few yrs. and it'll be some other yr. & make. There's dozen of other rides I'd be happy to have and they sell for 25-50% of a '32. But if it's what you want and have to have then be prepared to spend some big $$'s. Good luck
Seems like a lot of $$$ to me, but original real steel cars, how many are left ? I think you can buy a finished steel car for around 50-70K or a nice gl*** car 30- 40K finished
I'd pay 30K all day long for a car that nice. Body work/Paint and interior already done saves a bundle in restoration costs. Swap out mechanicals and you're not in it as much as if you did a piece by piece ground up resto...my .02 cents
Ok , I have spent a fair amount of time trying to beat the price, evidently he's in the ball park on a nice steel car in stock cond. Come on though, 32 grand is a lot of money, I don't care who you are. I p***ed on a really nice built 32 5w in Sept 2012 when I was looking for a 34 priced at 29.5K. I thought he was nuts, turns out I guess I was.
He's right on the money for a good running car. Body worth 18-20, sheet metal 3500-4, nice running 4 cylinder ch***is 9-12, it'll part out for probably more than he's asking. I'd still try and beat him down a little.
These cars will be everywhere before long as the baby boomers die off and not enough people to buy them.
It was listed at 8:59 AM this morning under Cars for Sale by Merlin, an Alliance member from Woodruff, SC. Ck it out, pics look nice, OBO, no trades, ask questions, etc . Good luck, Wes
Things like this have been said for DECADES. But the prices for 32's still keep going up! Stick to your BMX bikes. They are getting cheaper as the guys who rode them keep getting knee replacements.
Man that car looks clean. If it really is rust/bondo free I think he can name his price. Unlike coupes and roadsters sedans are not and probably will never be reproduced.
Oh, that explains the price. I didn't read the whole ad, my mistake. Should have know-sounded too good.
One of the most asinine things I've read lately,I for one (baby boomer) don't appreciate your smart *** comment and has nothing at all to do with this discussion. Stick to you bmx! HRP
32 has been for sale for a while. Should have the money for the car I sold in a week or two. I'll go over with cash & see what happens.
Calm down Danny, maybe freestyle BMX just needs an education like some in that generation. First an introduction is the proper way to make your way onto this forum and secondly there were 124,101 tudor sedans produced in 1932 and furthermore if you added 5w , 3w, and roadsters to the mix, you still have only 210,640 cars . Those of course being the most sought after cars of 32. I also beg to differ , they wont be everywhere when we die. Granted from time to time there will be a nice one come up for sale for that reason, but they seem to be increasing in price and that hurts if you are the buyer. Good luck GonzoMN on your purchase and I promise to shut my mouth.
There is no doubt our generation is on the decline but the remarks hit me wrong, think about it,**** Sparado and (fab32) Frank are going through serious health problems as we speak not forgetting about (Deuce Roadster) Randy that p***ed away last year. A guy with two post and no intro makes his first post asking how much a guy paid for a car which we all no is no ones business and then his remark here on this thread that has nothing to add to the question at hand. I'll climb down from my soap box,,lets get this thread back on track after the derailment. HRP
There is plenty of good advice here. I am currently building one and if I had the cash to start with a complete car, I would have been much better off doing that. I think it is priced accordingly, like Gary mentioned in pieces these cars are a gold mine, sell what you don't want. If it's what you want, get it before it's gone. And for the record, it's not just 32's that are expensive and continuing to rise in cost, try finding a CHEAP original, rust free '36 3 window. Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
