Great story! Don't take this wrong... I'm not glad you got sick, but it seems that everything has a reason. Being sick forced your hand in just your own revelation in the innitial snap shot! What a wonderful life experience! It is terrific that you wrote this all down and that you have it chronicled, complete with pictures for generations yet to come! Hot rods are just stuff (very cool stuff), but it is this stuff that provided this wonderful, humanistic experience!

Yep, best story this year! Now that you realize that is somewhat of a left handed compliment with it being Jan the tooth; remember that there is always at least a little "bull" in most car guys and I'm no exception!
Seriously, I'm sorry you're sick but I'm dang glad you found the pic and shared the story with us. It recalled similar past experiences with my own Dad as I'm sure it did for many others. Thanks for bringing back those personal memories for the rest of us.

    Hope you get well soon!
    Thanks again,
    Al

  5. A great read, thanks for sharing, lucky to have a dad / family like that!!

  6. 2 weeks ago, a pile of parts. Less than a mile on it, you are racing it up a mountain. I didn't read any further, what kind of cough syrup you takin'!

Wow, that is the greatest story I've read in a long time. Neat that you and your dad have that great relationship. The picture says it all and it is an experience you'll treasure for the rest of your life due to a shared love of our favorite hobby.

What kind of trans is that? Did you have to convert it to a torque tube?

Great story. It both displayed your awesome relationship with your father, and reminded me to appreciate the similar one I have with my Dad.

Great Dad's are like that old joke about the guy in the bottom of a hole. People pass by and offer advice on how to get out, a prayer for getting out, and offer to call someone to get you out. A Dad jumps in with you. What the hell did you do? Now we're both in here. "Yeah, but I've been here before, and I can teach you how to get yourself out".
