I am going big block in the '55 so the Y-block has no home. Sad to see it go but there is no need for it to sit around and go bad. I have a lot of money in it but you know how that goes. I am wondering what you guys think I should ask for it. It's a real 312. 312 crank, ECZ heads, intake, .60 over all new parts down to the pal nuts, everything new in the heads, Schneider cam, chrome valve covers with baffle and PCV, period Mallory dual point distributer, GM alternator and brackets dual exhaust manifolds. This motor has very few miles but does need a repaint to look nice. It currently has a BW T-10 behind it. I guess I'll Craig's list it but don't know what to get for it?? BTW: If anyone knows where there are some good front fenders or post doors out there, (shippable) please let me know. That would really speed things up on the body work! Thanks!
Fresh paint it and start at 2K and see what happens, list it here too:http://www.fordbarn.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=10
I haven't started building my 410 FE yet and was debating the 312 with a cam... Just to try the Y block route and low and behold I found your thread...
