I just wanted you guys to see the new car I just finished. Customer has no idea what the HAMB is. I snuck the HAMB logo on the back wing. "I hope that was allright Ryan". This is a brand new state of the art Carbon Fiber Promod Willys. Jim Norris "my friend and paint hero" and I did this this week. It was the first time we did ajob together and I job I will not soon forget. I wanted to make it look like an old car that had been in a barn for a very long time. The rust is fake the duck tape holding the door closed is fake. The door handle holes are fake. The wing looks like old signs that someone used instead of sheet metal. The names on the old signs are sponsors and guys that help the team. One of the headlights are broken, the grill is bent and rusty. There are even chicken foot prints running on the roof! There is a rusty latch with a stick holding the passanger door closed. What do you guys think?
Ya need a driver? Is this the gfastest car to ever wear the HAMB moniker? Who's gonna race that at the HAMB Drags?
That is an incredible piece of art. And I just found the HAMB logo.... too cool!!!!!!!!! Can we get better shots of it? That's rad.
Im glad you like it Ryan. I sent you a pm and was kind of worried you wouldnt want it on there. When the car gets the good shots of it I will send you some. Thanks for the compliments
Very nice. Especially after seeing all the cartooney monster truck and splash graphic paint schemes, especially on promod cars, over the last few years. It'll be a crowd favorite. Are they gonna use Dickies for crew shirts?
That's one awesome ride with some great ideas. As radical and wild as Pro Mod has always been, it takes something very special to stand out among the other wildly painted Pro Mod cars and you have pulled it off in spades. Two thumbs up! I wanna see it in person.
WOW!!!! Pro Mod has never been cooler! Have always been a Pro Mod fan. How can you not like such an outlaw class, it is the best; doors and low 6 sec. and high 5 sec ets. This car is totaly bad ass. I think this guy better print up a bunch of tee shirts to take to the races, they will fly off the shelf. Is this car going to be raced this year and what is his name?
A Buddy Of Mine , His Dad Is Buddys With Norris.....from The Stuff I Have Seen And The Stuff He's Told Me About.....norris Is Pretty Much The "man" As Far As Striping And Lettering Goes......hahaha Bill Says He's Pretty Much Done It All ....at Least Once.....the Aged Stuff On The Willys Is Waaaaay Too Bitchin........brandon
Yup! Theres a Flathead under that fake blower!!! LoL I usually don't like the look of those stretched out cars but that thing looks awesome! Intimidation? Man,that Willy's could be the creature in ALIEN 6! I love it!
DAMN!!!! That is one cool piece. Don't know of any IHRA tracks around here though, would love to see it run! jerry
very unique paint job! pro-mod is my favorite motorsport to watch, & just keeps getting better & better each season. who is the driver?
I think this works because it's not trying to be something it's not. In other words , it's not a glass '32 trying to look like a steel'32 barn find. Great concept and amazing execution. GV
While I like the car and this is in no way bashing it. The Willys body style will hold this car back. IHRA changed its rules regarding front end overhang last year and the Willys is at a huge disadvantage. The rule allows for 43 inches of overhang but no "fin" can be added to the Willys to make it reach that. So, the Willys is down 2-3 hundreths off the line. That's why we got rid of the 63 vette and went to a late model body. I photographer friend of mine is going to Bradenton today to shoot the car. They will also be testing the car. I'll have more info and results tomorrow.
