Has anyone else seen this cl*** addition to Hot Rod's Drag Week?

"B-Gas" for pre-'68 styled and powered cars.

I see it as an awesome place for the less photogenic (nose-high, tunnel ram and zoomie sporting) H.A.M.B. friendly rides in a cl*** they can compete in. I'm hoping to see some early '60's light-weight and Thunderbolt clones and even some bad *** traditional street cars that don't qualify for the "Hot Rod" cl***.

What do you guys think of the addition and what do you hope shows up for a cl*** where H.A.M.B. cars can maybe compete?

The rules read that they have divided the cl*** to A-Gas and B-Gas. "A" being the high-nose and/or altered Wheel base cars and "B" is for "pre-68" style cars that are more stock in appearance...

I'm curious to see how this works out.

I didn't really see the distinction between A and B that way. I (and a few of the other Drag Week G***er racers) are kind of baffled by the new G***er cl*** rules. I'm thinking of running in Street Machine Eliminator instead.

I read the rules a bit differently- The general rules for the cl*** require a nose-high stance, preferably with an axle for BOTH A and B.

The difference between the cl***es is A allows for greater modifications and faster cars, B can be done for less $$, but still expects a g***er-styled car. Either way, it's up to their opinion.

I suppose I read wrong... I read B-Gas as allowing a 50's/'60s style car with less emphasis on the high nose and/or solid axle conversion. But as I re-read that I see I am wrong and got all excited for naught.

So the A/Gas allows for altered wheelbase?

It reads that both would... A also allows for a roots blower while B is all motor.
