thread deletions

Why do posts about rat rods or part outs get deleted? Do the moderators actually read posts before deleting them? I posted about how my son was torn about building a rat rod truck or car after helping me build my custom buick.
Then I get this message " sorry man , we don't do rat rods here or part outs."
I'm sorry, rat rods are customs, and you can advertise parts for sale. So if you don't do these here, then why can you look them up in archives, search etc.
How about instead of deleting posts, you actually pm the poster before pulling it. But I believe that this will get deleted and told we don't do this here

 

Members ride and found in this forum, so what gives? It just seems that certain moderators pull what they don't care for.

 

There are RR forums, this isn't one of them as it clearly states in the forum rules.

 

Everything is going to be ok. The sun will still rise tomorrow...

We all know Rodent Rods are finished a few hours after they are started. They don't fit here, they are not allowed here so end of story........or do you want a hanky? JW

 

August 2014 and 14 posts, you've been here how long? Why did you join? Obviously for the wrong reasons, try learning about this great site before trying to change it to suit YOU !! JW

 

This is a site that is specific and the mods will pull stuff they don't care for. Rat rods are not ok. You have just stated these things yourself.

rat rod is a dirty word here.


Some cars are clearly built with all the inginuity that a rodent can muster. Those are not welcome here.

Some cars are called rat rods by general public and television be cause they don't know better- everything's a rat rod. Could be very well built , and a fine automobile but nonetheless called a rat rod by the unknowing.
