Technical Valve cover ID help

    Can someone help me I.D. this V8 valve cover ?
    I was told it was off a 1950s Nash Amb***ador.

    That is a from a 50's era (Mopar) Poly engine

    More of a mid fiftys MoPar. 55-56 Plymouth or Dodge or Chrysler. Tell me the length and i will tell you if it's a Ply/Dodge or a Chrysler

    I have about 18 1/2" long not including the mounting flange.
    Anymore info would be great.

  7. 100% sure it is not Chrysler (1955-58 were 301 331 354 Spitfire), I have a few of those covers and they are visibly different.

    The length you measured appears to be Dodge poly, but I cannot confirm that. Dodge poly engines could be 241 259 270 315 325.

    I have a Dodge 325 Poly in the shop.......but I'm not going there immediately....it's
    coooold here....and I'm a wuss :eek: when it comes to cold weather. Will measure it soon
    and report back. :D

    I see about 8 1/4 stud center to stud center. About 19 inches end to end. About 72 degrees here in sunny San Mateo.
     
  10. Is that on a Dodge poly cover? The 19" includes the gasket flange? And don't rub it in about the temperature... Its 12degF here now....:rolleyes:

    Yes. Mine is a 259 inch "55 plymouth engine. The 19 inch includes the flange.
