I have a 50 International truck that we chopped the top 4 inches, wanting to make a cool looking pickup. The truck happens to be a long bed.....What would you guys suggest, chop the bed down? Install a bed from something else? Make a flat bed? Any suggestions or pics of something similar....Kind of stalled out on this one

Here's my intro. New guy to the HAMB, like old school style, tired of the high buck show cars that don't get driven. I Have a 64 Ford Galaxie Wagon with air ride and wide whites and steelies, 50 International in the works. I have seen some of the best looking rides on this site, trying to build my own....You all seem like the only people out the that have "Been there, done that". Hoping to learn a few things

I'd suggest posting a pic of that International. CAUSE I'M WANTING TO SEE PICS DANGIT! :D

Oh yeah, Internationals ****. Both me and Zman HATE them with a p***ion. Only a homer***ul would own an International. :D

What I would suggest for that bed is cutting it down. It wouldn't be too difficult at all if you can weld worth a darn. Also, just remove a tad from the frame and pull those rear wheels forward a bit too.

....on my truck its lookin like I'll have to take out around 10" to get it right.

Here is the item number on ebay, doesn't look like it is going to sell...so it will be finished. Couldn't get my other pictures to post. Ebay item: 4606363555

  6. Finish it. I like the chop. Keep the bed so you can haul big stuff, or something. I think it would look good lowered. I've got one waiting for me. It was my great-grandmas ranch truck, it'll be my shop truck someday.

I got a little inspired, introducing the Pimpternational! Notice the taildragger stance, the flippers and WWW.

Hey Pat, You sent me a note about my F100 yesterday and I haven't gotten back to you yet. I've got a 53 International too. I think you should keep it and finish it. I know they aren't worth much finished or unfinished but they are good solid trucks for cheap and some of us think they are very cool. I kinda like the taildragger look. I'm all for keeping the big bed so you can haul the motorcycle you need to build next.
