I picked it up today. I'm happy with the results. He did a really nice job without making it look to busy...
Hey is that a Ford Y-Block I see ? I wonder what you think of it ? I am about to build a channelled '30 "A" Coupe with a 292 adapted to a '47 truck trans. My rear axle is a '41 passenger car converted to open drive line. I think the choice of a y-block is a good one for a light car. 41 Dave
Yep, its a 292 Y Block. I like it. Its rebuilt to stock spec, so it doesnt have the kind of power the 327 in my Roadster has. But it has assloads of Torque. And it makes this T pretty quick, as long as you remember to shift early to keep the revs down. So yeah, I think it was a good choice for the car, even if it was more expensive and harder to get the parts I needed. And it sounds really good...
Thom McDonald here in Tucson. Thanks for the nice words, guys. I'll pass the compliments on to him...
Uh Alex, the more you finish this car, the harder it is going to be to let her go to a new home. I can vouch for the torque, the car likes to move out when you shift right. Plus the entire drivetrain and ride are smooth when hauling ass around Tucson's road corners. Great work, looks very good!
You've got a sweet ride, my friend! In fact, my 26' bears a resemblence of your 23'; (colors and all) The dash is especially nice! Cruise often! Cruise well!...it's HAMBER TIME!
