Man i would almost be tempted to CLR / wash and wax this as it is! I bet it'd come up a ton nicer. You only get original once.
Will have more photos soon- fenders, doors, in booth yesterday- in dark gray undercoat- painter was just laying down color when I visited shop- sure doesn't look like much until clear coat goes on-
I love the understated color choice, nice project, will follow along. Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
That's the plan 28A, interior trim will be navy blue, almost original color, and seats spruced up with headliner added, but exterior will get cleared and stay as is. Cragars can't get tossed fast enough, I've got a mint set of 15" steelies for her to roll on.
Your heading towards home plate ! I look forward to seeing the 41 buttoned up - Spring can't come fast enough so we can drive 'em
holy smokes! I just ran into your thread. Glad to see you are making your car so much better. Only a few weeks to go until June...will you make it? How about a run to St. Paul for Back to the 50's? It would be great to see you and the coupe.
I let the shop put 2 other cars in front of mine- they just started working on it again and have to repaint sides as doors painted off car and flip flop of metallic shows badly in the sun- Maybe next year- Car was very solid and the shop has fallen in love with it so really being pickly- which is a good thing- My wife has been to Back to the 50's but not me-
My last post said shop beginning to work on it again- never happened- Always one reason or another- It is now 2nd week of August and very little being done other than car being repainted, color sanded and buffed- looks like I'll get it back just in time to store it for Winter-
