I am needing to get a rebuild kit for my Rochester 2 jet on my 283 but I'm not positive which one it is. It has the choke that uses the coil attached to the manifold if that helps. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm pretty sure that was first used on 1964 cars with the 2bbl 283, like yours. I would just get a kit for a 64 chevy and it should work fine. If you want to make sure the intake is the original one, you should be able to find the casting date code near where the ignition coil is mounted, and the last digit will tell what year it was made.

A 2G rebuild kit for a 64 Chev should give you what you need. NAPA has them but I cannot remember the part number.

Also alot of times they will have one rebuild kit for several different but similar carbs. You may have some extra pieces from the kit when your done....no joke
