Hi gang been a while since I posted, Here's a pre war double face dealer sign, painted not porcelain, were going to re-gl*** and re-wire, but keep the paint as-is, just though I'd show what's still out there.

 

I hope you meant "A recent find" 'cause I've resented some things other people find

came out of the Napa Ca. area, I don't know what dealer it came from, could be from some place other then Napa. but it's from the late '30's

 

sign is sold, at a price I can't refuse

 

Seeing your sign reminded me of the amazing collection of neon in the Pratte collection that is due to be auctioned some time this month. What I would give to have just one piece of what you've found. It's a slice of history from another era that you can hang on the wall in your shop or garage. How cool is that!

 

Here's one I dug out of the desert recently in SE New Mexico;

 

one of my favorite places back in the '40's.
