    Thanks. Can't wait to get back to working on it again. Still on the fence which way to go either independent or run the straight axel

    Any V-8 will require modification to the stock steering box. They were designed with 6s in mind.

    Going independent would solve the steering issue and help the ride

    I'm thinking about doing a little fabrication and putting a crown victory front end in it

    Well looks like the crown vic front ent is out. Its way too wide but I did see that fat man makes one for my truck. Looks like the way to go.
     
  6. I worked the IH assembly lines for many years, had a couple of new Scouts build for me with the 345 engines, they used the Chrysler Torque Flite tranny, a great set up.
