I have a 327 t5 set up. I have a v8 monza bell that used a cable. There is a bung on the bell housing where the cable ran thru and attached to pull the clutch fork. I would like to use that if I can. I see that speedway has a push and pull piston. Just wondering if any one has used speedways or anybody elses product.

I have used the Speedway and I have used the Wilwood. The Wilwood has slightly more travel, if my memory serves correct. That travel difference is small, but important. While setting mine up and determining where the clutch engaged/disengaged, an 1/8 inch of movement in the clutch fork made all the difference in how the clutch worked. Having the extra travel allows 2 things -
1.) you can be less accurate with your set-up. (This is still a small window to get it to work right)
2.) you can mount it closer to the outside end of the clutch fork.
(If you search the net, you will find people compensate for lack of travel by drilling holes in the clutch fork closer and closer to the trans - not cool)

Lastly, bleeding these little *******s ****s. I found it best to force the fluid (hand pump) into the clutch slaves bleeder screw and send the fluid UP to the master - the bubbles want to go up. The bore is so small on those masters, they don't move enough volume to push the bubbles down and out. Any air in the system will lower the amount of travel.

Spend the extra - get the Wilwood.

I have a Wilwood clutch master for my Ford, still not 100% sure on what slave I want, but want it close to the bore of the master, which is 3/4". I'd go as high as 7/8". The only Wilwood slave I see is a pull and I want a push. Speedway has a push type that I may go for. I'd have to make up a bracket to mount it, no big deal. Dorman also has quite a few to choose from.

I have the p&j's as well. I used a cnc slave. It's a little more money and it's blue. I ended up useing a bigger bore master made by jammar, they have these thin ones that work perfect.
