Projects My "new" '62 Newport

I just picked up this car it's a 1962 Chrysler Newport mild custom shaved door handles dual exhaust rebuilt 383 and has been lowered and pinstriped.. picked it up for the mere sum of two German helmets!

 

geat car although that 383 isnt original to the car.

 

I didn't think it was but I wasn't sure... Does anybody know where I can get replacement decals for the push ****ons?

Lol no I'm a huge military collector ( note my avatar) and the guy I got the car from owns an antique shop and has been looking for a couple german helmets so we struck a deal! ( german helmets are worth about $600 each)

Congrats ! These cars are almost "custom" from the factory...unusual, kool, great lines, and a killer front clip ! With a few tweaks this will be a perfect ride !

Man, I sure like this car. Very unique. Almost guaranteed to be the only one at cruise night.

 

It does need a little help but nothing major..... Like the front seat needs to be recovered and it has a small exhaust leak and the front and has a little damage but other than that its in good shape

Another thing I was thinking of doing a kustomize it a little bit is putting 63 880 tail lights on it.. And getting rid of the round part on the at tail lights and putting in 59 caddy lenses

 

62's are killer. Good score.

 

Is there any good sources for parts for these things
