not sure of everybody's criteria for "traditional" or "rat rod" or "muscle car"....all I can say is I build old,pre 1940 cars and race them...And yes...I have black wheels for the '29 ford!!. My strength is driving, my mech. skills are above average but I do get help on engine rebuilds. My mechanics will not ride with me. I have gotten alot of info off this site and figured I better join.Seems like a respectable bunch of folks.

Thanks Jethro !...When people say "nice rat rod" I tell them there is no rust nor are there clever little rats glued to it ,nor bent wrenches used as support brackets here and there. I try to make all my cars "semi" period correct...I would prefer an old flathead ford in this '29....but I got a hell of a deal on a rebuilt 69 corvette mill with 0 miles that fit like a dream....when she goes, the flathead will go in.

Thanks man!...as a west cost guy, I may be out of fashion, but I LOVE Detroit!! I am dead serious about buying an old house in highland park/brush park ....the big scary abandoned brick ones ,haunted by the great automotive men of 100 years ago...it is a surreal place.
