We got the roof tacked in finally. Pretty much wore out the Kleco tool it was on and off so many times. Also got the mini tubs installed. Howell's sheetmetal did not say they were universal fit minitubs. We had to cut them apart and shape them to fit the rear contour of the model A wheelwell. Came out OK if you ask me. Let me know what you think. Plenty of pics in the album
After a long hiatus, a motorcycle crash and shoulder surgery the Model a again moves forward. Derek Pesko has taken over the build so that it actually may get finished in my lifetime. The first thing he did was lower my headlights. Lower is better. He's a good guy with a good eye. Look for updates along the way
Long time no update. The Model A comes along pretty well. I am busier than ever at my real job and am so happy to have found Derek Pesko. He has fixed some problems and added his own twist to a few things. Filling up the recess that used to be the finish on the edge of the roof to match the lower bead is an awesome detail I wanted but would never have been able to pull of by myself. Derek insisted on replacing my replacement roof. Too many waves on my attempt so out with the old new and in with the old new. I chose a 98 Cherokee roof this time rather than screw around with Howell's again. The detail in the roof is similar in profile to the bead on the side of the car and it is sort of round square looking. The headers are built with spiral baffles inside and no ugly down pipes. It is really looking like this car will get done. Have a look
